Partnership & Daily Use

Shared Calendar

2 min read

Coordinating who's at the stable when, who rides on weekends, who handles the vet appointment, every riding partnership devours dozens of messages a week on it. The shared calendar replaces the WhatsApp back-and-forth with a single, always-current place.

Everyone sees the same, no one doubles up

Each horse in HorseCompanion has its own calendar. The owner and the invited riding partner see all scheduled activities in real time: riding, grooming, vet, farrier, training. Once someone enters an event, it's visible to the other side, no one accidentally books the same slot twice.

Activities can be assigned to a person, so it's clear at a glance who is taking which slot.

Recurring events without copy-paste

Grooming days, regular exercise, periodic vet check-ups, most appointments repeat. Enter them once as a series (daily, weekly or monthly, with any interval) and the calendar fills itself. You can move or cancel individual occurrences without breaking the series.

Subscribe in your main calendar

HorseCompanion provides a personal iCal feed URL for every account. Add it once as a subscription in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, from then on, all HorseCompanion events appear automatically in your main calendar. Stable appointments show up next to your private commitments, no app-switching needed.

In the sync settings you control which horses and activity types end up in the feed, and whether completed activities are included.

Reminders you actually want

Push notifications and email reminders can be enabled in your profile settings. Whoever is assigned to an activity gets a heads-up in time, no need to check the app every day.
