By registering and using HorseCompanion, you accept these terms of use. Please read them carefully.
Scope
These terms of use apply to all services provided through the HorseCompanion web application, including the mobile PWA version.
Registration & Account
Registration with a valid email address is required to use HorseCompanion. You are responsible for the security of your account and should report suspicious activity immediately. One account per person is permitted.
Acceptable Use
HorseCompanion may only be used for its intended purpose – coordinating horse care, riding partnerships and related organisational tasks. It is prohibited to use the app for unlawful purposes, enter false information about horses or their health condition, or overload or manipulate the app infrastructure.
Intellectual Property
All rights to the HorseCompanion software, design and content belong to the operator. Content you enter (horse profiles, photos, notes, etc.) remains your property. By uploading, you grant us the right to process and store this content for the purpose of providing the service.
Availability & Maintenance
We strive for high availability of the app but cannot guarantee uninterrupted accessibility. Maintenance work will be announced in advance where possible. We accept no liability for data loss due to technical disruptions unless caused by gross negligence on our part.
Liability
HorseCompanion is an organisational tool and does not replace veterinary advice. Responsibility for proper horse care lies with the users. Health information, first aid guides and BCS scores serve only as guidance. In an emergency, always contact a veterinarian. The operator is not liable for damages arising from incomplete or incorrect user input.
Data Protection
The processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms of use.
Termination & Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time under Security & Privacy in your profile. In the event of violations of these terms of use, we reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts.
Changes to Terms of Use
We reserve the right to update these terms of use from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the domicile of the operator in Switzerland.
