Features

Managing Horses

Each horse has its own profile with all important master data. The profile serves as a central hub from which you can access all features - calendar, health, feeding, training, expenses and more. You can show or hide features as needed and customize the order.

Riding Partnerships

With riding partnerships, you can share your horse with other riders. Partners get access to the calendar, activities, health data, feeding, first aid and more. You can optionally add start/end dates, riding days per week and notes to the invitation.

Calendar

The calendar displays all activities for your horses clearly. In the month view, you see activities as colored entries (each horse has its own color), in the agenda view as a chronological list. Tap on a day for the detail view or create new activities directly.

Activities

Activities are individual tasks or appointments related to your horse. There are 16 activity types in two categories: Movement and Care. Each activity can be assigned to a partner, recorded with optional duration and distance, and marked as complete. All activities can be exported as CSV.

Notifications

Stay informed about everything related to your horse. Configure per event type (invitations, activity reminders, completed tasks) which channel you want to be notified through. The reminder time before activities is freely selectable (15 min. to 1 day). Optionally receive a weekly digest via email.

Health Records

Manage all your horse's health data in one place. The health page is divided into three tabs: Overview with reminders, Vaccinations & Deworming, and Vet entries. Each entry can have a due date that is displayed as a countdown.

Expense Tracking

Keep track of all expenses related to your horse. Navigate month by month through your costs and see the total, category breakdown as a bar chart and a 12-month trend at a glance.

Feeding Management

Create and manage detailed feeding plans for each horse. Log feedings and maintain full oversight of daily care.

Training Journal

Document your training sessions with detailed metrics. Track gaits, mood, performance, and progress over time.

Body Condition Score

The Body Condition Score (BCS) helps you systematically assess your horse's body condition using the internationally recognized Henneke Scale (1-9). Regular assessments help you detect weight changes early.

QR Code Emergency Profile

Generate a QR code for each horse that links to a public emergency profile. Anyone who scans the code gets access to all important information - even without a HorseCompanion account.

GPS Ride Tracking

Record your rides via GPS and get live statistics for distance, speed, elevation, and duration. Rides are automatically saved as activities and appear in all widgets and statistics.
